The 2021 Wild Turkey 5K Logo Contest is NOW Open!​
Submission DEADLINE extended to August 7th


Join us for the Union County Heritage Festival logo contest and become part of this cultural event! This contest is open to everyone who is connected to Union County, NC. The winning design will go on the front of the 2021 t-shirt and will not be revealed until the day of the Festival.

Winning Entry Prizes

  • $100 presented by the Union County Heritage Festival Committee on September 19. (We will mail it).

  • Artist’s name on the t-shirt or signature within the design (artist’s preference).

  • Two free t-shirts with the winning design (one white/one color).

  • Special recognition in a press release, on the festival website and on Facebook.

  • Contest winner will retain the use of the chosen logo for their personal artist portfolio.


All submissions are due by August 7th, 2021. Click here for contest rules.

The 2021 Art Contest is Open!


The 2021 Heritage Festival Middle School Art Contest is open to all Union County, NC middle school students in grades six through eight, including private, public and home-schooled students.

The  2021 theme is Thriving with Nature, and we hope to encourage awareness of the benefits of spending time in nature. The art submission may be 2D or 3D and created with any kind of mixed media.

This contest is an excellent opportunity for your upcoming middle schooler to enjoy a creative activity over the summer months, and to have a chance to win $25, $50 or $100 gift card. All entries will be on exhibit at the Union County Heritage Festival on September 18, 2021!

To enter, submit a photo of the artwork to Jennifer Crumpler via email any time between June 1 and August 30. Deliver the actual art to the UC Ag Center on September 10.   

We look forward to a fantastic display of inspiring artwork at the 8th annual Heritage Festival!
